1922 Aston Martin

Number 8 was built for the French Grand Prix at Strasbourg in 1922. It was driven by Clive Gallop but did not finish.
The name Aston Martin was derived by Lionel Martin who, after searching through all the flowers, birds, beasts and fishes, joined his own name with that of Aston Clinton.
The first production cars were launched in 1922.
