Thundersaloons 240RS John Bell/Barrie WilliamsThis car was bought direct from Bill Blydenstein in the early Eighties. Bill was running the 240RS programme on behalf of Nissan at the time and his focus was on rallying. However, circuit racing was in his blood and it wasn't hard to convince him the car has credible racing potential. Lightweight, low centre of gravity and a purpose built engine made the car competitive. Its greatest asset was reliability. It could never beat the roaring V8s or turbo charged Sierras but could last the distance...30 years on and a few of us have done some more development work on the FJ24!
